The Spot the Whisky Barrel
competition from Islay has NOW CLOSED for entries and we
would like to thank all entrants for entering the
competition.
Despite our
very best efforts, not as many tickets sold as we would
have liked.
As a result, the prize fund is
considerably short of the anticipated level, with the
majority of the prizes being awarded equating to less than
the entry fee.
I have given the situation some serious
thought and consideration, (and lots and lots of
discussion!) and on reflection, I have decided that the
competition should be cancelled.
I realise that this will come as a
disappointment to many of you. However, in the circumstances
it seems unfair to proceed with the barrel drop when I know
we are unable to meet people’s expectations.
I hope that you agree that the fairest
route is to refund everybody their entry fee.

Please accept my sincere apologies for
any inconvenience this may cause.
Where possible we
will enclose a cheque by way of a refund
of your entry fee. Alternatively, we
will refund your entry fee using PayPal,
which will take up to 5 to 30 working
days (depending on your card provider). For the avoidance of doubt, the £25
hotel vouchers are no longer valid.
I would like to take
this opportunity to thank everybody who
participated and supported the
competition. The support is very much
appreciated and we hope your support and
goodwill continues as we venture ahead
with the building of the new hotel in
Islay.
